  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on all sides. Place in slow cooker and pour 1/4 cup barbecue sauce and vinegar on top.
  2. Cook on Low for 3 hours.
  3. Combine brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  4. Pour out all the liquid from the slow cooker and add remaining barbecue sauce. Sprinkle chicken with brown sugar-spice mixture.
  5. Cook on Low, stirring occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 3 more hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

So easy and delicious! Would be great to make for a crowd. Easy to make in advance.

I kept to the recipe and it was delicious. I'm going to try it with pork chops today.

This recipe has great BBQ flavor. Served with potato salad and coleslaw it is the perfect summer meal. The chicken is very tender and you don’t have to worry about burning the meat on the grill.

delicious and easy, i added potatoes and onions toward the end, will make it again

Just remember if you have a newer slow cooker, they are stronger than the older models and cook faster, had to cut down the cooking time as the chicken would have dried out.
